The family home is where everything comes together. All family members (including the four-legged ones) deserve only the best bespoke spaces for harmonious living. Christiaan is passionate about designing your perfect home.
Christiaan manages the necessary, delicate balances in his designs of apartments.
He believes that urban living spaces should be successfully plugged into a city. Sustainable developments of a mixed-use nature with active street edges contribute to the overall public realm of the city.
Furthermore, he designs to please both the developers and inhabitants of apartment blocks. Optimised floor space is imperative for developers. However, to enhance the quality of life for residents, rights and constraints can be (re)interpreted appropriately to allow for communal exterior spaces without compromising the success of the developments.
Christiaan is excited about creating optimal, modern learning spaces.
Educational trends are continuously evolving with the rapid improvement of technology. Therefore, architects should constantly re-evaluate the thresholds to capture the essence of the contemporary modes of education. However, the physical and social development of children remains essential.
The ideal balance between digital/e-learning centres and the outdoors should thus be investigated and accordingly implemented in building projects.
Christiaan’s industrial designs are practical and responsible.
Sustainable production in warehouses and other facilities is essential for the well-being of all the living. Up-to-date, green technologies should be implemented to reduce the carbon emissions of one of the biggest contributing sectors to this global phenomenon
Christiaan takes amusement seriously.
Although entertainment can be enjoyed on various digital platforms, it is outdone by live performances, which overcome the limitations of screens. Enter cultural centres and concert halls designed to host everything necessary for the perfect in-person night out, including fine restaurants and art gallery spaces.
This sector includes two markets, namely leisure, and business. For both, Christiaan aims at designing for ultimate lodging and spatial comfort. Maximising privacy yet providing opportunities for social interaction contributes to optimal hospitality solutions.
Attaining the above entails complex yet architecturally exciting building typologies. It is essential to design appropriate circulation networks and routes dedicated to various users without crossing main feeder routes to maintain the desired privacy thresholds.
Furthermore, a strong civic presence can be implemented where appropriate. In contrast to urban settings, remote locations allow for ideal regionalist responses deeply rooted in the landscape.
Responsible, client-centred architecture that captures requirements while exceeding expectations.
Soulful art that transforms places and experiences into lifetime memories.

An avid international traveler, vitally important to grow as an architect, he has visited some of the most prestigious buildings in Europe by notable architects. In 2018 he attended the Venice Biennale in Italy and sat in seminars presented by world renowned architecture and design academics.
Teaching and spreading information about architecture and the built environment is something close to him which started as being a lecturer’s assistant during his student days and then went on to present architectural theory discussions on a monthly basis to fellow colleagues at a previous workplace. Additionally he was interviewed twice on national radio on the subjects of architecture as a potential study field for scholars as well as entrepreneurship.
